Who are we?
Adoption22 is a collaboration between 22 North West Local Authority adoption agencies and associate Voluntary adoption agencies operating in the region.
The aim of Adoption22 is to facilitate the placement of children for Adoption within the North West. It is a way of sharing resources and information to achieve the best outcomes for children.
Our aims are :
- To promote the effective matching of children and prospective adopters and to increase the availability of high quality adoptive placements across the North West.
- To operate a regional web-based database to assist in finding families for children.
- To develop a more targeted and coordinated recruitment of adopters across the North West.
- To develop common information and training programmes for adopters and practitioners.
- To share good practice and develop joint approaches to adoption practice and adoption support across the North West.
